Wohali Newsletter: October 2023
October 30, 2023
As we approach the end of autumn, there's a palpable sense of anticipation in the air as residents and visitors alike eagerly await the 2023/2024 ski season. Weather forecasts indicate that snow is on the horizon in the coming weeks, which is met with enthusiasm by winter sports enthusiasts who are eager to hit the slopes in Park City's renowned ski resorts.
The past few weeks have been busy at Wohali as the team works to make progress ahead of another snowy winter season, and our vision for Wohali as a beautiful one-of-a-kind mountain community is rapidly taking shape. The team has laid asphalt on multiple roads at Wohali, allowing owners and guests to access Phase 1 Estate Lots on brand-new smooth roads. It is incredible how the installation of roadways has transformed the property in just a few short weeks.
Furthermore, construction is well underway on the Short Game Practice Area adjacent to the Manor House, which will be completely sodded in the next two weeks. The Gatehouse is also taking shape, with wiring for electricity well underway and the surrounding water features and landscaping quickly taking shape.
Finally, flooring is being installed on the lower level of the Manor House, and cabinetry will soon follow. The Manor House will be completed by the end of the year, and we cannot wait to share the gorgeous space with you in person.
Roadway Construction Update

In recent weeks, our dedicated team has been working tirelessly to install a network of roadways throughout Wohali. They commenced their efforts within Wohali Estates and progressed towards the staff offices, slated for future HOA buildings. Currently, the team is dedicated to paving the roadways that connect the property's entrance to the Sales Center.
We are incredibly excited about this progress as it has already completely transformed the property!

Short Game Practice Area Construction Update
Pictured: Short Game Practice Area is circled in red on the map of Wohali, located just in front of the Manor House
In recent weeks, Wohali's dedicated construction team embarked on the creation of the Short Game Practice Area, strategically positioned right in front of the Manor House, the cornerstone of Wohali's renowned practice facilities. Much like the putting course and driving range discreetly nestled behind the Manor House, the Short Game Area will provide Golf Members with the exceptional opportunity to refine their short game skills on a world-class course, all within a stone's throw of the numerous amenities offered by the Manor House, including restrooms, a comfortable lounge, the inviting downstairs pub, and much more.
Short Game Practice Area Specs
Spanning 2 acres, the new Short Game Practice Area at Wohali offers golfers an exceptional practice space with four meticulously maintained greens mirroring those on the golf course, facilitating precise putting and chipping practice. With four sets of tees, golfers of all skill levels can personalize their experience. Additionally, the facility boasts practice bunkers, designated areas for chipping and pitching, and the opportunity to recreate various shots, including uphill and downhill scenarios, with distances of up to 120 yards. This comprehensive facility is the ideal environment for golfers to fine-tune their short-game skills and effectively prepare for the challenges they'll encounter on the course.

The team began construction on the Short Course Practice Area just two weeks ago, and progress on the course has been impressively fast. All rough shaping of the course is now complete, and much of the team is now focusing on constructing the greens and tee boxes. Trees are now being planted to enhance the course's visual appeal and environmental impact, while other team members focus on edging and the fine shaping of the bunkers.
Drainage has been installed, and the irrigation layout is complete, with plans to begin installing the irrigation system next week. The team aims to sod the entire Short Course Practice Area ahead of the first heavy snow.

Gatehouse Construction Update
Construction continues on Wohali's Gatehouse, with Wohali's dedicated electrical engineering team working on wiring the entire building. The exterior of the Gatehouse has been prepared for stonework, and the team plans to begin work on the exterior masonry in the coming weeks.
Adjacent to the Gatehouse, the team filled the two ponds and is focusing on landscaping the surrounding area.

At nearly 2,200 square feet, the Gatehouse's interior offers a sense of roominess beyond what its exterior might suggest. The largest area on the main floor is designed to accommodate mailboxes for all Wohali owners in one central location.
While the Gatehouse is an amenity that most owners will likely not use every day, the design team did not compromise on its design. Similar to the Manor House, the Gatehouse boasts meticulously hand-sculpted Brazilian timbers that were skillfully incorporated by artisans from the Brazilian rainforest to form the building's structural framework. The Mail Room's ceiling is adorned with Brazilian wood, complemented by beams crafted from the same material, giving the building a distinctively European feel.
Beyond the Mail Room, the main floor will also feature a restroom and a designated workspace for gate attendants.
The Gatehouse's lower level will accommodate two offices, a meeting room, and an area designated for storage and IT equipment.
Manor house construction update
The team has been hard at work getting the Manor House ready for furniture installation by the end of 2023. In the lower level, our stone masonry experts are hand-cutting and laying out the stone floor that will be laid throughout the lower level of the building. The team will first lay out the custom flooring, and once the layout has been perfected, they will permanently affix it to the ground. The interior stone will blend perfectly with the flagstone flooring that has already been laid outside, bringing some of the exterior components of the building's design inside.
The building's cabinetry has arrived and will be installed in the pub and the library in the coming weeks. Woodworking also continues throughout the building.
As mentioned in our September Newsletter, we will no longer share images of the Manor House in anticipation of its completion and grand opening in 2024.
