As dedicated stewards of this storied land, Wohali sets a new standard in sustainability, climate neutrality, and environmental stewardship.

Wohali’s comprehensive sustainability initiatives demonstrate a deep commitment to preserving the land’s beauty and reducing its environmental impact.
The community has placed its 3,365-acre Wohali Backcountry under a conservation easement to protect the natural, untouched beauty from future development for generations to come.
Wohali will power the community with a five-acre solar farm, producing five gigawatts of renewable energy. This will house multiple battery storage units, storing energy for use during nighttime hours and cloudy days.
Resort units and buildings will use geothermal technology for heating and cooling, eliminating the draw on natural resources and keeping the community carbon-neutral. The geothermal system also requires less maintenance and cuts down on heating and cooling bills.
Community spaces will be built using handcrafted timber frames made from Brazilian hardwoods, sustainably harvested under exclusive 3D (dying, dead, and down) guidelines. All exterior building materials will be sustainably sourced, including handcrafted timber frames and natural stones, wood, and rammed earth.
The golf course is certified by the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program, ensuring it protects the environment and wildlife habitats while maintaining the game’s natural tradition.
